Bible Conference

In February we were blessed to have Dr. Samuel Gipp come to Saint Lucia. He preached a Bible conference, mostly on the King James Bible. On night one he gave the basic background of the Bibles that we have in the world today. Night two was about the history of the translations from the time of the Apostle Paul up till 16ll. Night three he talked about the originals and the advantages of what we have today verses what was available back when. On the fourth night he showed a comparison of several translations with the KJV. (I really enjoyed that night.) The last night he talked about a couple problem text in the KJV. One of such is the word “Easter” in Acts 12:4.
We had a wonderful time. Most of the teaching I agreed with, some I did not. What did happen? I came away from that meeting with a greater appreciation for my Bible. I have read more in the last month that I did months before. I have come to the conclusion that I have heard SOOOO many preachers say be fore. “We don’t read our Bibles enough.”

The Brock family is all healthy at this time praise the Lord.
In September, I cracked a rib. That has completely healed, and I am well enough to exercise and have fun with the kids.
I am also proud to announce that Monica is expecting another baby. She is due July 21st. We had our first doctor’s visit yesterday and all looks well. We are trying to decide where to have the baby. Pray that God will give us peace about the right decision.

Youth Camp 2009

July the 20th through the 24th was youth camp. We had a great time with the teens. There were 44 young people from five different churches represented. The theme of the camp was “Give my Thine Heart”. The camp director, David Lindsey, invited two preachers from the States to preach each day. We also had a professor from Spartan Medical University come each morning and teach on the heart and the similarities on the physical heart and the spiritual heart. The preaching line up could not have been better. I have posted a lot of pictures on my Face Book page, www.facebook.com/Rev.nathanbrock.
Five young people came forward during the services of the week to accept Christ as Saviour. Please pray that God will continue to work in the hearts of all those that attended.

Church Crusade

Brother Eric Lee preached a wonderful crusade for us. It was the third full week of May. We praise the Lord for the seven that came forward for salvation. Pray that each of these people will grow in faith and they will allow God to make real changes in their lives.
